It’s called The Postpartum…

After long night shifts I allowed us to bond with clear conscious each morning to wade off the accumulation of frustrations…💙💙💙

TIRED: That day when I lost my shit! Absolutely lost it that I had to bang the door in anger to get the frustration out!! I yelled.. There!! I have said it!

Saying it was a relief and a revelation that even with a third baby.. it can be tough and admitting it was for me the moment of living, the moment of acknowledgement that no one is immune to the hormonal periods after birth and during the recovery.

At 4 months postpartum things started getting to me! My son had been very clingy, almost already on the separation anxiety stage which I think had come too soon. ⁣ ⁣He only wanted to be held, and I love to eat my own food so cooking anything that was balanced, wholesome and tasty was proving to be impossible and I still needed to breastfeed him which added to my frustrations as I couldn’t make milk without eating

I had said it and what a relief to be able to utter those very true words! 🤦🏾‍♀️ Blooming heck! It had been tough going for days. I made sure to eat enough, the right stuff too so that my energy was not depleted too through the storm

The night shifts are not only tiring they’re surprisingly so rewarding watching them go back into deep sleep content

✨It’s called the Postpartum. Like the sound of the words.. it can be tough cookie sometimes! ⁣ ⁣

✨But! With stuff laying undone for weeks, emails to reply to and even checking in with my own needs I had to flip today. I had had it! It was getting frustrating playing catch up constantly! Phew! ⁣ ⁣

✨Days like that day.. I miss having the family members who would see when I need someone to step in and scoop him out my sight so I can breath! ⁣ ⁣

✨It’s true you can have a house full and they can still be blooming oblivious to your needs. Because they see you standing, walking and alive.. they assume you’ve got it until you flip ⁣ ⁣

✨Then I picked his shocked little face, apologized, fed and cuddled till we both slept again 💕🤱🏾
