The First FORTY days
✨Childbirth is a BIG deal. It is NOWHERE compared to the man flu. The fact that she is smiling and looking together does not mean she is together (yet). Everything about the birth needs time to settle. She needs time to recover, recuperate so that she can be the juggler she has probably always been
💫 Support HER! Help her get her strength and zeal back. Love her for what she has achieved. Love her through the waves and rides of emotions.
Dear Partners! This love, this admiration, appreciation and disbelief at what she achieved .. for the love of God, let it not end in the birthing rooms?!
✨Once she’s discharged from the hospital it does NOT mean she’s fine now to go about with the house chores when she arrives home
💫 If she didn’t fry your pork before she went into labour.. 🤷🏾♀️ she’s not going to do it for another 6 -8 weeks! Fry her the pork instead
✨ I completely sympathize with you too for being snapped at and she’s probably not been so nice since the birth. Moody, weepy and maybe happy. Her hormones are all over the place. Her body is tired. She needs to find her own self so she can give the best of herself out too. That will ONLY happen if she is looked after, taken cared for, not pressured, listened to, acknowledged and celebrated .
💫 ask for help yourself so you can understand how fragile this phase really is and how you can make it memorable for you both. Because let me tell you... if she leaves this moment not feeling supported and heard.. she will be very resentful for the years to come
✨This saying I hear my own husband say; a happy wife is a happy life. Run with it! SUPPORT HER! And if you are not sure.. ASK HER! 🙏🏾😊
